Job summary

Mel's Group is seeking an proactive and organized Operation Executive to support daily outlet operations, coordinate wholesale business, source products and suppliers, and collaborate with teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role focuses on wholesale development, outlet efficiency, and ensuring timely procurement and delivery across multiple outlets in Kuala Lumpur. You will work in a fast-paced hospitality environment requiring strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in F&B operations, retail operations or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain good relationships with wholesale and business clients.
• Source and follow up with new wholesale customers and potential opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations and relevant departments to fulfill wholesale orders on time.
• Promote new products and identify opportunities to increase wholesale sales.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and organized Operation Executive to join our growing F&B team. This role will be responsible for supporting daily outlet operations, coordinating wholesale business, sourcing products and suppliers, and working closely with different teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

Wholesale & Business Development

Develop and maintain good relationships with wholesale and business clients.

Source and follow up with new wholesale customers and potential business opportunities.

Manage wholesale enquiries, quotations, orders and client follow-ups.

Coordinate with operations and relevant departments to ensure wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Promote new products and identify opportunities to increase wholesale sales.

Monitor customer feedback, sales performance and payment status.

Source products and materials through platforms such as Taobao, Shopee and local shops or suppliers.

Identify suitable suppliers and compare pricing, quality and availability.

Communicate and negotiate with suppliers where necessary.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.

Outlet Operations

Monitor outlet operations and ensure SOPs and operational procedures are properly followed.

Provide guidance and support to outlet workers when operational issues arise.

Evaluate workers' performance and provide constructive feedback where necessary.

Work closely with relevant team members to improve operational efficiency and service standards.

Assist in identifying operational issues and implementing practical solutions.

What we're looking for

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.

Experience

2–3 years of experience in F&B operations, retail operations or a similar operational role.

Experience in managing or coordinating multiple outlets will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of F&B outlet operations and daily business processes.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to coordinate effectively with outlet teams and different departments.

Good organisational and time-management skills.

Comfortable using Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and preparing basic reports.

Able to analyse operational data and identify areas for improvement.

Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently.

Willing to travel between outlets when required.

Other Requirements

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced F&B environment.

Flexible to work outside normal office hours when required for operational matters.

Possession of own transport is an advantage.

Willing to travel between outlets and suppliers when required.
