Job summary

Worldwide Holdings Berhad is seeking qualified personnel for the WTE Power Plant in Jeram, Kuala Selangor. Roles include Engineer/Technician positions with varying experience.

Fresh graduates with strong technical grounding and SKM or STPM qualifications are considered, along with diploma holders for supervisor/technician roles. Responsibilities include supervising operating units, testing, and commissioning, and ensuring environmental compliance and plant efficiency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist or supervise operating units in engineering and maintenance activities.
• Prepare, review and approve testing and commissioning plans and reports for the WTE power plant.
• Ensure plant operates at optimum level and supports waste management processes.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians and contractors for timely repairs and servicing.
• Oversee maintenance of boilers, turbines, electrical systems and control instrumentation.
• Ensure regulatory and standards compliance and maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate across operations, production and engineering for smooth maintenance integration.
• Complete assignments through commissioning to operations and maintenance phase.
• Maintain unit competency and compliance for WTE landfills and plant requirements.
• Prepare reports on plant operations, outages and performance metrics.
• Promote safety, accountability and continuous learning within the team.

Job Responsibilities (Related Roles):

Assist or Coordinate or Supervising or Operating unit in all engineering and maintenance activities independently of the WTE Power Plant operations, including all related objectives and routine compliances.

Assist or Coordinate or Supervising or Operating in preparing, reviewing, and approving testing and commissioning plans, procedures, method statements, data sheets, testing criteria, and reports related to the WTE Power Plant.

To ensure WTE Power Plant operates at the optimum targeted level. Ensure support for waste management processes, including recycling and safe disposal methods.

Assist or Coordinate or Supervising or Operating and Maintenance team including; engineers, technicians, and contractors, ensuring timely and high-quality repairs and servicing.

Oversee the maintenance of critical systems such as boilers, steam turbines, Balance of Plant (BOP), electrical systems, and control instrumentation.

Ensuring all operations work at WTE Power Plant are compliant with regulations and standards as well as maximizing efficiency through execution and implementing

Collaborate with operations, production, and engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of maintenance activities with ongoing plant operations.

Complete all assignments relating to project needs and ensure successful completion until commissioning to the Operations and Maintenance Phase.

Ensuring all units are fully competent and comply with the Operations both at Landfills and WTE requirements, depending of each assign role.

Managed routine inspections and equipment maintenance, checking promptly identifying and resolving operational issues, following reports and duties assigned.

Preparing reports on plant operations, outage planning, and other performance metrics necessary for proper management and planning.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.

Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning for the successful direction

Ability to work in high intensity, competency, and commitment towards compliance standards.

Ensuring all targeted goals, objectives, and direction towards the great achievements for Environment Sector, promoting Renewable Energy (WTE) transition for the nations and preserving the environment through pioneering quality landfill management.

Requirements / Eligibility :

A minimum Diploma / STPM for Supervisors/Technicians/Warehouse positions, and additionally, a minimum entry for operators requires Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM), level 1-3.

Experiences in the power plant industry, energy sector, project developments, coal/biomass power plants, gas turbines, boilers, operations, and power plant maintenance or a related field will be an added value.

Fresh graduates (technical) with pointer CGPA >3.0 above only shortlisted.

Well-versed with and good understanding of energy/power plant/infrastructure/energy compliances/operations implementation & developments, operations & maintenance.

Training, careers development and certification will be provided progressively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
