Job summary

DONG SING FOOD LINK SDN BHD is seeking an Operation Manager to lead warehouse and logistics operations in Semenyih, Selangor. You will manage inventory, coordinate deliveries, and drive efficiency across the supply chain to ensure timely product movement.

Candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with warehouse systems. This role requires leadership and a focus on food industry logistics within Kajang/Selangor area.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Admin, or related field.
• 3–5 years in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
• 1–2 years in supervisory or team leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, stock management, and logistics operations.
• Proficiency with warehouse management system; AutoCount experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage overall warehouse and logistics operations.
• Plan and coordinate fleet and delivery operations to meet schedules.
• Manage warehouse space and storage capacity with proper housekeeping.
• Control stock rotation and enforce FIFO policy.
• Monitor inventory levels and safety stock to prevent shortages.
• Track KPIs and prepare weekly/monthly reports on inventory and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Sales and other departments for material flow.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, loading/unloading of materials and finished goods.
• Train and supervise warehouse and logistics staff on procedures and safety.

Job description

Operation Manager (Warehouse and Logistics)

Oversee and manage the overall warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely movement of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and other inventory.

Plan and coordinate fleet and delivery operations to ensure all vehicles reach designated depots within the required delivery schedule and service timelines.

Manage warehouse space and storage capacity to ensure proper and systematic allocation of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, maintaining good housekeeping and accessibility.

Manage the issuing and return of ingredients and packaging materials required for production, ensuring accurate inventory transactions.

Manage and control stock rotation and ensure all stocks are issued in accordance with the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) policy.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate safety stock levels to minimize the risk of stock shortages and production stoppages.

Monitor and evaluate warehouse and logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement of operational performance.

Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on inventory stock levels, stock holding, stock movement, delivery performance, and other relevant warehouse and logistics activities.

Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth material flow, inventory availability, and timely delivery of finished goods.

Ensure proper handling, storage, loading, unloading, and transportation of materials and finished goods to prevent damage, loss, contamination, or product deterioration.

Train, supervise, and develop warehouse and logistics staff on proper work procedures, equipment handling, inventory control, and workplace safety requirements.

Ensure all warehouse and logistics activities comply with company policies, food safety requirements, regulatory standards, and workplace safety procedures.

Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency, space utilization, inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and overall logistics effectiveness.

Ensure the warehouse, fleet, and logistics operations are maintained in a safe, clean, organized, and efficient condition at all times.

Job Requirement

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Candidates with relevant hands-on working experience may also be considered.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination, with at least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, stock management, and logistics operations.

Proficient in warehouse management system. Experience with AutoCount Accounting System will be an added advantage.

Strong organisational, coordination, and route-planning skills, with the ability to manage daily delivery schedules and coordinate multiple drivers simultaneously.

Good problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in handling stock discrepancies, delivery delays, vehicle issues, manpower shortages, and operational disruptions.

Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or FMCG logistics will be an added advantage.

Willing to work at Semenyih, Selangor area.
