YTL Cement Berhad is seeking an Operations Manager to coordinate and optimise plant operations across Melaka and Kuantan, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. You will support Plant Managers, manage cross-plant resources, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with senior management.

The role involves monitoring KPIs, budget oversight, and maintaining strong relationships with key customers to uphold service excellence and achieve performance targets.

Qualificações

• Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in plant operations, production management, sales, or a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, production planning, process optimisation and cost control.
• Experience implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards in industrial/manufacturing settings.

Job Location: 1 position for Melaka and 1 position for Kuantan, Pahang

Job Descriptions

• In this role, you will be accountable for the strategic coordination and optimisation of plant operations across several zones. You will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, standardising processes, managing cross-plant resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will also support Plant Managers in achieving performance targets, resolve escalated operational issues, and contribute to long-term planning and business development initiatives.
• Monitor and enforce HSE regulations across all plants, conduct regular audits, and implement correctives.
• Supervise and support multiple plants within the assigned zone to ensure consistent operation.
• Review plant KPIs, analyse performance trends, and report findings to senior management with actionable recommendations.
• Exemplify punctuality, strong commitment, effective teamwork, and uphold the company’s core values in daily operations.
• Engage with key customers across the zone to ensure satisfaction, resolve escalated complaints, and maintain service excellence.
• Monitor plant-level budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial targets are met across the zone.
• Mentor Plant Managers and Supervisors, promote leadership development, and ensure alignment with company values and goals.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in plant operations, production management, sales, or a similar supervisory role.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operation and sales, with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial position.
• Proven ability to manage and optimise plant operations, production processes, and sales performance.
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, production planning, process optimisation, and cost control.
• Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency, process improvement, and cost optimisation.
• Experience in customer service and customer relationship management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
