Job summary

Phili-Orient Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a logistics coordinator in Penang to support import/export shipments. Responsibilities include arranging trucks with approved vendors, coordinating schedules, and updating stakeholders on status.

The role requires 1 year of relevant experience, a diploma in logistics or related field, and the ability to travel to local airports by motorbike. Weekend shifts are part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Admin or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a relevant industry.
• Experience in airport logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, warehouse, or customer service operations preferred.
• Willingness to work on mornings/evenings and on a rotating weekend/public holiday schedule.
• Must possess a motorbike to travel to Penang Airport and Batu Maung Airport as required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and book trucks with approved vendors for Import and Export shipments.
• Coordinate truck schedules based on shipment requirements and cut-off times.
• Provide shipment details to vendors and request truck details.
• Arrange standby/backup trucks for urgent shipments when required.
• Monitor truck collection and delivery status.
• Follow up with drivers and vendors on shipment progress and delays.
• Escalate delays or issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Update CS team and customers on shipment status.
• Ensure POD and required delivery documents are obtained and recorded.
• Prepare MAWB/HAWB/Manifest details and ensure accuracy.
• Submit Manifest within required cut-off time.
• Follow up on discrepancies between MAWB/HAWB/Manifest and cargo.
• Close MAWB/HAWB/Manifest records after shipment completion.

B. Shipment Collection & Delivery Monitoring

• Monitor truck collection and delivery status.
• Follow up with drivers and vendors on shipment progress and delays.
• Escalate any delays or operational issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Update CS team and customers on shipment status.
• Ensure POD and required delivery documents are obtained and recorded.

C. AWB & Documentation Closure

• Prepare and verify MAWB, HAWB and Manifest details.
• Ensure shipment information is accurate and matches the cargo.
• Submit Manifest within the required cut-off time.
• Follow up on any discrepancies between MAWB, HAWB, Manifest and physical cargo.
• Update and close MAWB/HAWB/Manifest records after shipment completion.
• Sending final pre-alert document to related party
• Maintain proper records of all shipment documentation.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field. Must have at least 1 year of working experience in a relevant industry.
• Previous experience in airport logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, warehouse, or customer service operations is preferred. Hardworking and able to work on weekends / public holidays.
• To work on shift (morning and evening shifts on a weekly rotation).
• Discipline and ability to follow instructions.
• Possess motorbike (need to travel to Penang Airport and Batu Maung Airport as required).
