Job summary

Zai Sri Gemilang in Selangor is seeking an experienced catering operations supervisor to oversee event catering, plan layouts, manage on-ground logistics, and coordinate the venue workforce.

You will ensure food presentation and taste meet standards, schedule rosters for permanent and part-time staff, and provide clear crew briefings. You will also manage equipment inventory, post-event reporting, and on-site issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits before events to plan table layouts, buffet flow, and technical requirements
• Manage logistics including vehicle movement, food delivery, and equipment arrival
• Ensure food presentation and taste meet standards before serving to guests
• Schedule work rosters for permanent staff and manage part-time crew
• Provide detailed event briefings to crew regarding event protocols, code of conduct, and special menu items
• Coordinate catering equipment inventory and report damaged or missing items for replacement
• Monitor vehicle service schedules and kitchen/catering equipment maintenance
• Handle emergency issues at event locations professionally, such as insufficient food or technical disruptions
• Prepare detailed post-event reports on material usage, staff performance, and customer feedback
• Oversee store staff (steward), inventory control, maintenance, cleanliness, work schedules, and waste management
