Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Hospital Billing & Records Clerk to ensure accurate charging, proper form completion, and meticulous record keeping. You will collaborate with consultants to verify charges and maintain flawless patient data in the hospital system.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work with various departments while maintaining confidentiality and high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital billing or patient data entry is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia for written and spoken tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect charge tickets from wards and verify accuracy of hospital and consultant charges before system entry.
• Maintain complete and organized patient records with duly completed Guarantee Letter forms endorsed by consultants.
• Verify referral documents are accurately completed and signed before processing.
• Keep patient folders organized, secure, and complete.
• Update patient information accurately in the Hospital/Bed Management System.
• Maintain patient data, forms, and documentation per hospital policies and record standards.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to patients during admission.
• Adhere to safety regulations and use PPE as required.
• Support smooth departmental operations including uninterrupted surgical services.
• Participate in new services and hospital initiatives.
