Job summary

ICHOR Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an on-site IT Support Engineer in Shah Alam to ensure the smooth operation of end-user devices, software, and IT systems. You will provide first-line technical support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely, customer-focused service to employees.

Responsibilities include imaging and deploying devices, managing helpdesk tickets, assisting with onboarding/offboarding, and maintaining accurate IT asset records.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 2–3 years in IT support or desktop support.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting in PC hardware, OS, imaging, and deployment.
• Windows, Office, and SharePoint knowledge.
• Basic LAN/WAN/wireless networking knowledge.
• CrowdStrike and Mimecast experience a plus.
• Aruba Networks and helpdesk ticketing systems experience a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and meet SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, software, and end-user applications.
• Manage helpdesk tickets with logging, prioritization, troubleshooting, resolution, escalation, and SLA compliance.
• Perform imaging, configuration, deployment, upgrades, and hardware repairs.
• Troubleshoot Office, SharePoint, endpoint security, virtualization, and application performance.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless connectivity.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including provisioning and access management.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Install security patches and workstation configurations per IT policies.
• Coordinate with regional IT teams, vendors and service providers.
• Provide clear guidance and timely communication to employees.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and policies.
