Job summary

Syafiqali Resources Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a capable Civil Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor daily site activities, ensuring works follow approved drawings, specs and project requirements. The role involves supervising site staff and subcontractors, reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating with clients and authorities, and maintaining safety and quality on site.

Fresh graduates are welcome; a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering is required, with driving licence and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant construction/site experience; fresh graduates are encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications.
• Willing to travel and work on-site; possess a valid driving licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily site activities to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Supervise and monitor construction works, subcontractors, workers and site activities to ensure quality, progress and safety requirements are met.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, method statements, specifications and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities on project-related matters.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved work programme and schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all works comply with the required quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including site reports, progress reports, inspection records, material submissions and relevant project documents.
• Assist in the preparation of progress claims, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT) and other contractual documentation.
