Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking Resident Programmers to provide on-site application development, maintenance, and technical support for government digital applications. You will handle maintenance, source code updates, troubleshooting and system enhancements.

Responsibilities include performing maintenance, debugging, testing (including UAT), documentation, and user training, with hands-on work on AWS Transcribe and OpenAI-enabled applications.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Software Engineering / Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of programming experience, excluding internship/industrial training.
• Minimum 3 years of CMS experience (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Liferay, KOHA, Statamic or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB or MSSQL).
• Minimum 3 years of experience with mobile frameworks (Ionic, Flutter).
• Willing to participate in screening, programming assessment and interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site application development, maintenance, and technical support.
• Perform application maintenance, source code updates, and troubleshooting.
• Develop, modify and update application source codes per system requirements.
• Carry out preventive, corrective, perfective and adaptive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot errors, defects and operational issues.
• Enhance and optimise applications for performance and usability.
• Ensure compatibility with technology changes across platforms and third-party software.
• Conduct testing including UAT with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare technical/maintenance documentation.
• Provide technical support for applications using AWS Transcribe and OpenAI.
• Conduct user training and system demonstrations as required.
