Job summary

Responsibilities include proposing engineering solutions, building scalable backend APIs, ensuring test-driven development, code reviews, and thorough documentation while adopting security and performance best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven full stack development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong front-end skills with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React/Angular/NodeJS.
• Experience with scalable backend APIs and mobile-first responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Propose and implement engineering solutions to solve complex technical challenges.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Contractor) to design, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Experience in front-end development with strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and proficiency with frameworks such as NodeJS, React, and Angular.
• Experience developing mobile-first applications with responsive UI/UX.
• Experience in developing scalable backend applications/APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and the ability to leverage relevant services or components to enhance application reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Solid understanding of third-party data transactions and security over operations such as RESTful API or WebSockets.
• Experience driving and executing automation initiatives to improve Development/QA using CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with React Native and Flutter.
• Knowledge or experience with application logging, monitoring, and performance management tools such as Firebase App Analytics and Bugsnag.
• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
