Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Contractor) to design, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions. You will work onsite with a cross-functional team on a leading digital travel and lifestyle platform.

Responsibilities include proposing engineering solutions, building scalable backend APIs, ensuring test-driven development, code reviews, and thorough documentation while adopting security and performance best practices.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Proven full stack development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
Strong front-end skills with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React/Angular/NodeJS.
Experience with scalable backend APIs and mobile-first responsive design.

Responsibilities

Propose and implement engineering solutions to solve complex technical challenges.
Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development lifecycle.
Develop tools and applications with clean, efficient, maintainable code.
Champion test-driven development and automated testing practices.
Collaborate with QA to enhance automated testing capabilities.
Drive code review, deployment processes, and efficient release cycles.
Troubleshoot, debug, and refactor code, automating repetitive tasks.
Apply security, performance, and scalability best practices.
Document and share technical knowledge within the team.
Work with multiple teams to deliver complex software solutions.
Promote stellar software engineering practices across the team.
Continuously explore new technologies to benefit projects.
