Job summary

Ecolab International Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Service Representative (Chemistry) to support oil & gas customers in Melaka. The role emphasizes analytical testing, chemical reporting and field-based service delivery at customer sites.

You will conduct routine water treatment chemistry tests, install and calibrate equipment, and ensure safety procedures are followed while maintaining accurate service records for ongoing accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Chemistry or related field.
• At least 2 years of analytical/laboratory experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Experience with chemical analysis, testing and data reporting is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial water treatment systems, cooling towers, chillers or boilers is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Safety-conscious with a strong commitment to following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and analytical support to customers in the oil & gas industry.
• Conduct routine chemistry and analytical tests related to water treatment and industrial processes.
• Collect, analyse, record and report test results accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot customer issues, escalating technical concerns as required.
• Monitor and maintain chemical treatment programmes and product inventories.
• Install, calibrate and maintain chemical feed and process monitoring equipment.
• Support start-ups and implementation of new applications at existing and new customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Work closely with Sales Representatives and internal teams to address customer requirements.
