Job summary

Teleport is a leading Southeast Asia logistics provider seeking a warehouse/logistics associate to support daily operations in Malaysia. You will help with manpower planning for loading/unloading, ensure priority cargo handling with CTO, and prepare essential shipping documents for cargo acceptance.

You will also scan shipments, verify weights, and liaise with vendors to improve submission efficiency. We expect strong communication, bilingual proficiency in BM and English, and meticulous data

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual BM & English preferred.
• Ability to work accurately with data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong attention to detail and time management in a fast-paced logistics setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily manpower for loading/unloading based on allocation.
• Coordinate with CTO to prioritise cargo for export.
• Prepare relevant documents (AWB, Lot Label, Control Form) for cargo acceptance.
• Ensure every shipment is scanned and recorded in the system.
• Verify cargo weights and dimensions; keep records.
• Coordinate with CTO, Line Haul Truck and vendors to optimize cargo submission.
• Perform light warehouse duties like moving boxes and pallets.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Ensure day to day manpower planning for loading and unloading of the cargo are sufficient based on allocation of manpower.
• Work with CTO to ensure the priority cargo are as followed for both export.
• Responsible for preparing the relevant documents i.e. AWB, Lot Label, Control Form etc for cargo acceptance process.
• Make sure every shipment are scanned and recorded in the system.
• Verify weights and dimensions of cargo, keeping records of your findings.
• Deal with CTO on any special arrangements for transporting delicate cargoes, such as livestock, food and medical supplies
• Interact, liaise and manage the relationship with other CTO, Line Haul Truck, and Vendors to achieve the efficiency in cargo submission process.
• Some light warehouse duties such as moving boxes and pallets with dolly.

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

• Strong communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills - ability to speak Bahasa Malaysia and English fluently.
• Able to operate computer programmed such as Microsoft office and google sheet.
• Working experience with standard data-entry software's.
• Meticulous with work - double checking for accuracy of data entry
