Job summary

Malaysia Airlines is seeking a Cargo Operations Support Officer to actively manage daily cargo operations and drive profitability at our Kuala Lumpur station. The role focuses on document control, cargo handover, and ensuring compliant release to consignees, while coordinating with warehouses and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cargo/aviation, with a degree in any field. This on-site position offers opportunities in a fast-paced airline environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of cargo, airline or aviation services experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in any field; relevant higher qualification considered.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound and outbound documents for flights before departure and upon arrival.
• Assist warehouse inspections on mishandling, pilferage or damaged shipments and prepare recovery reports.
• Ensure smooth delivery of cargo, AWB confirmation, customs documentation, shipping orders and release authority.
• Verify vendor performance against contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Position Title

Cargo Operations Support Officer

Report To

Senior Officer - Cargo Operations

Position Summary

The position is responsible for managing the cargo's daily operational activities and performance, to achieve and ensure the company's profitability and station revenue.

Key Accountability

• To monitor inbound and outbound documents available for flights before departure and upon arrival.
• To assist warehouse inspections on reported cases of mishandling, pilferage, delivery of damage shipment and process reports for recovery.
• To ensure smooth and orderly delivery of cargo, Airways Bills (AWB) confirmation, complete Customs documentation, shipping order (DO) and release authority before release to consignee.
• To ensure that vendors deliver their services according to their contracts and Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Qualification & Working Experience

• SPM, DVM, STPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree or higher tertiary qualification in any field
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in cargo, airline or aviation services
