Job summary

Omron Electronics S.p.A. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer-Professional I to support automation projects at customers in Petaling Jaya.

You will plan, develop and implement solutions, assist sales with technical consults, and coordinate project activities. The role requires deep PLC/SCADA/Networking knowledge, strong programming skills on PLCs, HMIs and SCADA, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Possess deep understanding on PLC / SCADA / Networking Technologies.
• Strong program development skills on PLC, HMI, SCADA, Network configuration.
• Basic C-Language, JAVA, Statement List and SQL Query Database
• Electronics workbench tools, basic electronics and control circuit, and other engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• To Program development for PLC, touch panel, SCADA and etc; including testing and debugging control system integration and project consultation
• To Generate/calibrate/approve IO listing and engineering drawings
• To Configure, design, and program network intergration protocols, such as, modbus, Fins, Profibus, MQTT, EIP, EtherCAT.
• To Attend Project kickoff and scheduling
• To Carry out FAT (Factory Acceptant Test, SAT (Site Acceptance Test), site testing and commissioning.
• To Plan, organize and conduct project meeting and training as and when needed.
• To Plan, coordinate Engineer or subcontractor in executing site work, prepare field service report for field work.

Responsible for undertaking automation solution execution, including planning, development and implementation of project; to both internal and external customer, while providing assistant to sales on technical consultation and coordination of projects. To grow and develop junior engineer. To assist & develop long term growth plan for project engineering department.

Long Description
