BOYANG CONSULTANCY SERVICES SDN. BHD is seeking an Odoo Technical Consultant to drive implementation and delivery for manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution clients in Malaysia. You will configure modules, support UAT, and coordinate with offshore teams to deliver end-to-end ERP solutions.

The role requires 1-3 years of hands-on development experience, Python programming, and knowledge of SQL/PostgreSQL. Mandarin is a plus; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

Odoo Technical Consultant (Implementation & Delivery)

This role combines technical development, system configuration and project delivery for Odoo ERP implementations across Malaysian manufacturing, wholesale & distribution and trading clients. You will collaborate closely with local functional consultants and cross-border offshore teams to deliver end-to-end ERP solutions, support UAT, go-live and post-live technical support for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

Configure standard Odoo modules for business scenarios including manufacturing, inventory, procurement, sales and finance.

Estimate technical effort, provide feasibility feedback to functional team for new requirements.

Perform unit testing, defect fixing, support UAT cycles, resolve technical issues during implementation and post go-live support.

Develop technical documentation: technical design notes, custom module documents, release notes and integration specifications.

Carry-out data migration, build and maintain API integrations between Odoo and third-party applications.

Follow Odoo development best practices, maintain upgradable and clean custom code.

Troubleshoot production incidents and provide technical support to internal team and clients.

About you

1-3 years hands-on technical / development experience; ERP customisation or implementation experience is a strong plus.

Practical programming experience with Python. Candidates with custom-development experience on other ERP products are welcome.

Good working knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL. Exposure to Odoo framework highly preferred; candidates without Odoo experience must show strong willingness and capability to learn Odoo quickly.

Able to interpret functional requirement documents, communicate technical risks and progress within cross-functional teams.

Working proficiency in written & spoken English. Mandarin is advantageous for engaging Chinese-speaking local business stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical discipline.

Hands-on Odoo module customisation & implementation experience (preferred).

Project exposure to manufacturing / wholesale distribution ERP delivery (preferred).

Familiar with Git version control and Agile working style (preferred).
