Job summary

Nur Kidz Sdn Bhd is seeking a Diploma-educated Occupational Therapist to assess and support students within an educational setting. You will develop goals, prepare IEP-aligned plans, and provide individualized and group therapy to enhance functional abilities and learning outcomes.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, reporting findings, and coordinating with IEP teams and educational staff to implement effective intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Therapy required.
• Experience with school-based OT preferred.
• Strong assessment and report-writing skills.

• Administers occupational therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of functioning relative to their age and educational placement in areas such as fine/gross motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and activities of daily living.
• Prepares assessment reports identifying student needs and proposed treatment strategies; develops individual goals and objectives as part of the IEP; maintains progress records and participates in IEP meetings.
• Develops occupational therapy treatment plans to improve students’ functional abilities and enhance learning capacity.
• Provides individual and group therapy sessions to address sensory-motor integration challenges.
• Designs therapy plans aligned with educational goals in collaboration with the IEP team.
• Monitors therapy programs and collaborates with educational staff to integrate appropriate strategies into learning programs.
• Provides guidance to students and families for home-based interventions and explains assessment outcomes.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support student development and performance.
