Hospital Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kampar, Malaysia, is seeking an occupational therapist to assess patients’ functional abilities and occupational performance, and to contribute to rehabilitation plans. You will develop and implement individualised treatment plans to improve independence in daily living activities, using evidence-based interventions.
You’ll work closely with doctors, nurses and the wider team, document progress, educate families, and participate in quality improvement
Assess patients’ functional abilities and occupational performance.
Develop and implement individualised occupational therapy treatment plans.
Provide therapy to improve patients’ independence in daily living activities.
Conduct appropriate therapeutic interventions based on patients’ conditions and needs.
Monitor and document patients’ progress and treatment outcomes.
Educate patients, caregivers and family members on appropriate home-based interventions.
Work closely with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Participate in departmental activities, quality improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC) and/or relevant professional body.
Valid practising certificate, where applicable.
