Job summary

AJ SPEECH & OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CARE CENTRE is seeking an Occupational Therapist to design, coordinate, and deliver a comprehensive OT service. You will assess new students using tools like the Short Sensory Profile, set goals, implement treatment plans, and ensure up-to-date patient records.

The role emphasises teamwork, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with supervisors and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality therapy for children with learning disabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• 1-2 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities is an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to navigate unexpected situations.
• Able to learn with other disciplines and work in a team.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

Assess effectively, set appropriate goals, implement appropriate treatment plans, execute safe therapy, re-assess timely and modify treatment when necessary for patients referred for occupational therapy

Fill in and run Assessment for new students - 'Short Sensory Profile' and other assessments

Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor and other healthcare professionals when appropriate

Communicate and work effectively as a team

Ensure all patients' records are updated accurately and promptly at all times

Undertake continuing professional development of skills and knowledge proactively and regularly through self-study, continuing education presentations, case discussions and research

About you

Minimum Diploma in Occupational Therapy

1-2 years of experience working with children with learning disabilities is an added advantage

Good problem-solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations, performance skills

Can work in a team and have self-discipline and understanding of OT's roles
