Job summary

Pekat in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee residential solar PV systems, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate maintenance activities. You will plan manpower, manage resources, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years of Solar PV experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. On-site work in Selangor, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Solar PV.
• Knowledge of Solar PV systems, electrical troubleshooting, and safety requirements.
• Experience in technician/team management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate maintenance activities for residential solar PV systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and system faults and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Plan manpower, work schedules, spare parts, and resources to meet service requirements.
• Monitor and verify technicians’ and suppliers’ work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Review maintenance records, technical reports, and corrective action reports.
• Monitor solar PV system performance and ensure sites are operating properly.
• Coordinate with customers and internal departments to resolve technical issues and support project requirements.
• Lead, guide, and train maintenance technicians to improve team performance.
• Support project planning, technical assessments, cost estimates, and ad-hoc customer requests.
• Provide emergency/on-call support and carry out other duties or improvement activities as assigned by the Operations & Maintenance Manager.
