Job summary

Amtel Services in Malaysia (Selangor) seeks three technicians for solar PV projects, including BESS integration and rooftop installations. You will assemble, install and secure PV panels, inverters and mounting structures according to engineering specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a certificate or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics and 1–3 years of hands-on experience with electrical wiring or solar installs. Fresh grads encouraged, with OSH compliance and outdoor work willingness.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years hands-on in electrical wiring, roof works or Solar PV installation.
• Industry knowledge: Basic understanding of solar PV components, inverters and BESS.
• Physical: Able to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors at heights.
• Safety: Strong OSH awareness for electrical hazards and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• System installation: Assemble, install, and secure solar PV panels, mounting structures and inverters per designs.
• BESS integration: Assist in setup, installation and basic commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Electrical wiring: Perform AC/DC cable laying, routing, conduit installation and terminations safely.
• Site prep & survey: Conduct site assessments, roof measurements and shading analysis.
• Testing & commissioning: Conduct basic testing, voltage checks and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance & troubleshooting: Routine maintenance, cleaning and fault diagnosis of solar arrays.
• Reporting: Document daily progress and report to the Project Manager.
