Job summary

Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced electrician with a background in solar PV systems. You will handle low and medium voltage electrical equipment, perform scheduled maintenance, and support interconnection facilities.

You should have a Diploma/Certificate or equivalent, with at least 3 years in the solar PV industry, and be proficient in reading technical specs and construction documents. Strong communication skills are essential for this hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance during construction, installation, maintenance and repair of plant electrical equipment.

• Check fault conditions of equipment and solar arrays, repair and replace components as needed.
• Lay and connect lines and clean solar photovoltaic modules.
• Coordinate with operation & maintenance time, carry out regular inspection and maintenance.
• Analyze abnormal status of product functionality.
• Responsible for documentation and maintenance reports.

Looking for candidate with experience as an electrician, electrical background which need to handle low voltage and medium voltage electrical equipment in the interconnection facilities, scheduled & routine maintenance for solar panels.

Job Description

1. Provide technical assistance during construction, installation, maintenance and repair of plant electrical equipment.

2. Maintain the solar plant equipment’s at the optimal level and ensure the scheduled and routine maintenance is carried out as per schedule.

3. Check the fault conditions of various equipment and solar PV arrays, and repair and replace damaged components and circuits as and when needed.

4. Lay and connect the lines and clean the solar photovoltaic modules.

5. Coordinate with the operation & maintenance time, carry out regular inspection and maintenance.

6. Analyze the abnormal status of product functionality.

7. Responsible for the documentation and management of maintenance reports.

Requirements

Diploma/Certificate or equivalent practical experience, engineering degree/diploma from an accredited college or university is preferred.

3 years minimum working experience in the solar PV industry designing solar arrays and solar plant O&M.

Technically competent and capable of understanding engineering concepts and solar plant maintenance.

Experience reading and understanding technical specifications and construction documents.

Experience with professional oral and written communication skills.
