Job summary

Qualifications

Detailed Job Description

As a Senior Network Engineer in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia, you will serve as a foundational technical lead responsible for the design, implementation, and operational integrity of enterprise-grade network systems. Your daily responsibilities will encompass configuring advanced routing and switching topologies (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, QinQ), managing next-generation firewalls and load balancers (Fortinet, Check Point, F5/Citrix), and driving network automation initiatives through Python and Ansible scripts. You will collaborate closely with security operations, cloud engineering, and Agile/Scrum project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures.
• Implement and optimize advanced routing protocols and secure tunnels including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, DMVPN, and GETVPN.
• Manage complex Layer 2/Layer 3 switching architectures including VLANs, STP, QinQ, and Dot1Q configurations.
• Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise security platforms, including Fortinet and Check Point next-generation firewalls, WAF, IPS, and proxy servers.
• Administer F5 and Citrix application delivery controllers and enterprise load balancing solutions.
• Integrate and manage cloud networking architectures across hybrid enterprise environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts and Ansible playbooks for automated network provisioning and configuration management.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum sprint planning, technical backlog grooming, and cross-functional team syncs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex routing bottlenecks, and conduct rigorous root-cause analysis (RCA).
• Author comprehensive network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional network engineering and infrastructure administration experience.
• Cisco professional certification (CCNP-level or equivalent) demonstrating mastery of enterprise networking.
• Deep technical proficiency in routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, DMVPN, GETVPN, VLAN, STP, QinQ, and Dot1Q.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet and Check Point Firewalls, F5/Citrix load balancers, WAF, IPS, and proxy systems.
• Proven proficiency in network automation and scripting using Python and Ansible.
• Strong familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and collaborative workflows.
• Local Malaysian candidates are strongly preferred for this onsite Cyberjaya role.
