Job summary

Emits Technology Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a Diploma-qualified Manufacturing/Engineering professional to drive NPIs and process improvements. You will review drawings, support tooling, and ensure process flow, PFMEA, BOM, and work instructions align with ISO standards.

The role requires practical problem-solving, the ability to read engineering drawings, and willingness to work overtime, with responsibilities from sample build validation to mass production transfer and productivity gains.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform feasibility studies for new projects and ensure samples meet customer specs and timelines.
• Support NPI smooth transfer to mass production and ensure correct assembly methods.
• Modify or improve jigs, fixtures, die-sets and tooling as needed.
• Lead productivity improvement activities and optimize manpower and machine usage.
• Provide training to production and team members where necessary.
• Ensure PFMEA, BOM, control plans and drawings are accurate for NPI builds.

Job description

To perform a feasibility study on a new project awarded by the customer.

To ensure samples built are meet customer requirements or specifications and project timelines.

To ensure NPI smooth transfer to Mass Production.

To ensure the assembly methods are correct and actual cycle time for each process and achievable per standard.

To involve in any productivity improvement activities with production and other groups or team members.

Responsible for jig/fixture, die-set and tooling modification or improvement for existing products.

To carry out further analysis on those failure products from production with an action plan and countermeasure given.

To involve in continuous improvement projects for improving production productivity, costing, and capacity.

To optimize manpower usage, machine utilization, and improve the assembly methods.

To provide training for production and team members where necessary.

Other activities as assigned by Management from time to time.

To support the management teams for any ad-hod task been assigned.

To Setup, troubleshoot and repair production machines or equipment where necessary.

To ensure the Process Flow, PFMEA, BOM, Control Plan, Work Instruction, and Drawing are correct when NPI build.

To achieve KPI set by management and ensure to it comply with ISO, RBA requirements.

Other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.

To comply with ISO requirements, like general safety practices, standard operating procedures, work instructions, policies, and guidelines provided by the company.

Requirements:

Diploma / Professional Certificate of Plastic Technology / Manufacturing Engineering / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Candidates with 1–3 years of manufacturing or NPI experience will have an added advantage

Able to read engineering drawings and work instructions

Basic troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills

Familiar with manufacturing environment and production processes

Able to work independently and in a team environment

Willing to work overtime
