Hup Fatt Brothers Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage quality activities for New Product Introduction projects, from prototype to mass production.
You will perform FAI and dimensional verification with CMM, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers; review drawings and GD&T; and drive CAPA, 8D, and 5 Why investigations with cross-functional teams.
Manage quality activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from prototype to mass production.
Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) and dimensional verification using precision measuring equipment such as CMM, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
Review engineering drawings, GD&T, customer specifications, and quality requirements.
Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Customers to resolve quality concerns and ensure successful product launches.
Prepare and maintain complete FAI documentation, including ballooned drawings, dimensional reports, and supporting quality records as required.
Support supplier quality activities, incoming inspections, and supplier corrective actions during FAI stage.
Maintain accurate quality records and support smooth transition of NPI products into mass production.
Prepare and submit customer quality documents, including inspection reports, NCRs, deviation requests, and Certificates of Conformance.
Any other ad-hoc jobs as assigned from time to time.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
Must be fluent in English and possess strong communication skills, as liaison with customers and colleagues are a large focus within the job.
Minimum 1-2 year(s) of working experience in relevant field. Working experience in sheet metal environment will be an added advantage.
Able to travel and work independently.
Able to read drawings and understand welding symbols, surface finishes, and tolerances.
