Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Product Development engineer to join our team. You will collaborate with Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products, plan, debug and manage manufacturing and characterization test programs for next‑generation AMD microprocessors.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, accountability for accuracy and reliability of results, and hands-on experience with test patterns, post-silicon bring‑up, and test flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script is preferred.
• Good understanding of Linux, Unix or Windows OS and experience with test equipment (ATE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up.
• Post Silicon Bring up of Test patterns leading to optimization for mass production enablement.
• Analysis of part failures leading to test improvement.
• Test pattern & test flow development, debug, test and characterization.
