Job summary

Plexus in Malaysia (Penang) seeks a manufacturing professional to develop high-quality, cost-effective solutions and services aligned with customer requirements. The role includes mentoring teammates and applying skills across manufacturing processes.

You will read BOMs, participate in assembly activities, and leverage statistical analysis to improve processes. Strong communication and cross-discipline collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred or equivalent.
• Reading BOM and experience in assembly preferred.
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills; SPC software experience a plus.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing solutions and provides high-quality, cost-appropriate services that meet customer requirements and mentor others on the team.
• Uses appropriate tools and equipment to perform work including creation, analysis, and verification.
• Demonstrates expertise across multiple phases of the Plexus manufacturing process and applies knowledge to role.
• Works independently within at least one phase of the manufacturing process with minimal direction.
• Produces comprehensive project documentation in line with quality and change management procedures.

Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification.

Demonstrates expertise in multiple phases/ processes of the full Plexus Manufacturing process/ product Requirements & Specifications as it applies to their role.

Demonstrates the ability to work independently within at least one phase/ process for the Manufacturing Process/ Product, without direction from mentors or functional management, as it applies to their role.

Produces comprehensive project documentation in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines, as it applies to their role.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Able to read BOM and with experience in assembly is preferred.
