Job summary

Agilent Technologies Malaysia in Penang seeks an NPI Lead / MSAT System Engineer to drive the design and manufacturing of mechanical and mechatronics assemblies, PCAs, modules and complete products.

You will bridge R&D, Quality and Manufacturing, translating product innovation into scalable, high-performance manufacturing processes and platforms, while leading cross-functional teams across global operations and ensuring DfX compliance throughout NPI programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role.
• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proven project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with CAD tools and PCBA design/manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of DoE, FMEA, DfX or similar methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as central Global Operations technical interface in NPI, coordinating stakeholders.
• Lead transfer of new products from development into mass production.
• Apply Design-for-Excellence (DfX) across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.
• Collaborate with R&D on development, validation, and manufacturability readiness.
• Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, and industrialization approach.
• Lead prototype ramp, reliability validation, and launch readiness.
