Job summary

HS Aerosystem Sdn Bhd, Negeri Sembilan, is seeking a sheet metal worker to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products. You will read blueprints, lay out materials, and use hand and power tools to finish surfaces for safety and appearance.

Ideal candidates have a technical diploma/certificate with at least 2 years of laser cutting experience, preferably with Amada machines, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in a technical field (mechanical/manufacturing).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with sheet metal/machine (laser cut).
• Experience with Amada laser cutting is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products.
• Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material using scribes, rulers, calculators and squares.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings and GD&T standards.
• Operate hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces to ensure safety and a seamless appearance.
• Select appropriate sheet metal type and gauge per specifications.
• Set up and control in a fast-paced environment and work rotating shifts.
• Collaborate as a team and maintain tight tolerances.
• Adhere to process times to achieve targets and keep work area clean.
• Ensure safety and follow company rules and policies.
• Maintain in-process quality checks for efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal product.

Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squares

Able to interpret and understand technical drawings.

Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance

Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.

Must be able to understand and follow Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance standard ( GD&T)

Able to set up and control in a fast pace environment

Able to work on rotating shift and multitask

Must be able to comply to the measuring methods and equipment used for in process measurements.

Able to work as a team.

Meeting qualities standards and maintaining the tight tolerances.

Must be able to take instruction from his / or her superior.

To follow and maintain process time to achieve given targets

Must be able to upkeep clean work area and organize and proper care of company’s property.

What we're looking for

Certificates in any technical course or Diploma in mechanical, manufacturing or equivalent certifications from technical college.

Minimum 2 years work experience in machine (laser cut)

Experience laser cut machine of Amada (advantage)

Can operate the laser cut machine

Able to read technical drawing
