Jora Malaysia is seeking an NPI Engineer to manage cross-functional deliverables, develop schedules, and track progress to ensure new products reach market on time with quality and cost targets.
You will guide designs from prototyping through full production, perform design reviews, DFMs, and coordinate with CAD and manufacturing teams during FA and ramp-up to achieve successful launches.

The NPI Engineer will manage cross-functional deliverable, develop schedule, track progress against these plans, and ensure new products are brought to market on time with expected quality and cost performance (RFQ). This includes managing the project from early prototype builds through the launch of full production.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive timelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
Conducting design reviews, prototyping, and testing to validate product specifications and identify potential issues.
Review and coordinate the DFM proposal to the customer.
Using Solid Works software to analyse the mass, draft angle, thickness, undercut profile, parting line, etc to prepare the DFM and quotation.
Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of products or services during FA stages until part approval closure.
Analyzing product data and performance to recommend improvements and optimizations
Documenting and maintaining records of the NPI process, including project plans, timelines, and technical specification
Provide technical support to customers, addressing questions or concerns.
Providing support and collaboration with manufacturing teams during the production ramp-up phase
Collaborate with the Engineering team for the mold flow simulation using Cast Designer software before activating any tooling fabrication.
Prepare engineering changes matrix upon receiving engineering changes notice (ECN) for drawing and specific requirements.
Conduct ECN meetings and ensure internal teams are well notified and informed on the changes.
Provide proactive measures & effective feedback upon receiving customer quality complaints.
Participate and re-present 8D to customers for quality issues that arise during the FA stage.
Ensure all quality documentations are completed before FA submission and before handing over the program to mass production teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or any related field).
2-5+ years of experience in manufacturing or product development
Experience in CAD software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
Experience with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
Hands-on experience and excellent communication skills to collaborate working with cross-functional teams (R&D, quality, procurement).
