Job summary

ITW Meritex Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead projects from design through mass production, ensuring timelines, quality, and customer requirements are met. You will prepare detailed project plans, coordinate resources, and drive process improvements in injection molding environments.

The role requires a degree in engineering and 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in NPI, with strong manufacturing process knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum possession of Diploma/Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Engineering (Polymer, Electrical/Electronics, Manufacturing) or it's equivalent.
Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in related field or industry; preferably 2 years in NPI/project management.
Knowledge and experience in Injection molding will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI project processing from design to mass production to meet sample timelines and quality requirements.
Prepare a project detail plan with scope, goals, activities, resources, scheduling timelines and deadlines.
Analyze and optimize NPI processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
Oversee pilots and ensure smooth execution during product transfers/launches.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs with appropriate verification techniques.
Prepare and present final project evaluations and obtain customer approvals.
Coordinate with stakeholders on changes to drawings, processes, and specifications.
