Job summary
ON Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Staff NPI Assembly Engineer to drive New Product Introduction for semiconductor assembly processes from development to high-volume manufacturing.
You will own assembly process qualification, DOE studies, and ramp readiness to meet quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturing targets. The role collaborates with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, Equipment, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure successful product transfers, process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years in semiconductor assembly manufacturing or NPI engineering.
- Proven experience leading new product introductions and product transfers.
- Strong background in assembly process development and qualification.
Responsibilities
- Define assembly manufacturing flow, process parameters and control plans.
- Lead DOE and process characterization studies to establish process windows.
- Drive equipment and process readiness for new package introductions.
- Provide technical leadership for assembly operations (Die Attach, Wire Bond, Molding, etc.).
- Lead failure analysis and CAPA for NPI-related issues.
- Create and maintain documentation (FMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans).
