Job summary

Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad (HLIB) is seeking a meticulous operations professional to handle nominee services, corporate actions, and custodian-related processing. You will ensure timely client instructions, oversee transfers before cut-offs, and generate necessary vouchers and notices.

The role requires a finance-related degree, at least 1 year in stockbroking or custodian services, and strong English and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Studies or equivalent.
• 1 year of working experience in stockbroking or custodian services preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Process daily matters related to nominees services/corporate action activities/custodian services.
• Ensure timely processing of clients’ instruction and submit to authorized parties/registrar before stipulated dateline.
• Follow-up on non-receipt of instruction and payment with hub/dealers/remisiers/institutional clients.
• Process shares transfer and initiate the transfer process before cut-off time.
• Generate payment voucher for application money and excess application.
• Prepare shares allotment notifications/letters to clients/relevant parties and generate registrar advice.
• Monitor Bursa Malaysia & Foreign Broker website's announcements and update relevant information in internal system on a daily basis.
• Ensure timely dissemination of corporate announcement to clients.
• Attend to queries from hub/dealers/remisiers/institutional clients, registrars and foreign custodian bank.
• Assist in carrying out other ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the management.
