Job summary

Maxis is expanding its corporate finance team to build the unit economics, valuation models and business cases behind new ventures and investments. You will work with senior management and the Board to determine where to invest, partner, or stop, shaping decisions and value creation across multiple ventures.

In this hands-on role, you will construct deals, perform tax and financial modelling, and ensure governance approvals with external advisors.

Qualifications

A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
5 to 7 years' experience in corporate finance, commercial strategy, investment, advisory or M&A, including at least 3 years in financial modelling or transaction work.
Experience on live transactions (valuation, due diligence, deal documentation) is preferred.
Strong modelling skills (DCF, IRR, NPV, scenarios, sensitivities) and ability to explain drivers clearly.
Ability to turn complex analysis into a concise message for senior audiences.
Self-driven with ownership and proactive issue escalation.

Responsibilities

Decide what is worth pursuing. Size markets, build unit economics and test pricing and scenarios.
Shape deals. Support JV and investment transactions through valuation, due diligence, and term sheet reviews.
Make the numbers hold up. Build and review valuation models and test assumptions and drivers.
Protect capital. Check capital calls against use of funds and milestones.
Turn analysis into decisions. Prepare papers for management and Board and liaise with governance bodies.
