Job summary

IP Core is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Malaysia. The role involves providing both remote and onsite technical support, resolving customer-raised tickets, and ensuring smooth network and security operations.

You will troubleshoot issues, document tasks, and escalate major problems as needed. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in network engineering or technical support, with strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in network engineering or technical support roles.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel and possess own transport.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer network/security implementations and technical requirements.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and consult on technical issues for customers.
• Implement changes or workarounds to address technical issues.
• Document daily tasks and compile reports for team sharing.
• Serve as the escalation point for major support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Travel to customer premises to perform tasks as required.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
