Job summary

OCM SDN BHD is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to join our Malaysia operations in Pengerang. You will carry out non-destructive testing methods in line with approved procedures and industry standards at client sites.

The role requires 2+ years of NDT experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to read drawings and procedures. Travel to project sites and shutdowns is expected; driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Engineering or related technical field.
• Valid NDT certification (PCN, ASNT Level II/III, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in NDT inspection in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant or Heavy Engineering.
• Able to read engineering drawings, inspection procedures and technical specifications.
• Familiar with relevant industry codes and standards.
• Possess a valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Carry out NDT inspections following approved procedures and standards.
• Perform inspection methods including VT, MT, PT, UT, RT (where certified).
• Prepare inspection reports and document findings; interpret results and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Comply with HSE policies, client requirements and quality systems.
• Liaise with clients, supervisors and project teams during site activities.
• Support shutdowns, turnaround and maintenance projects at client sites.

• Perform inspection methods including, but not limited to: o Visual Testing (VT) o Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) o Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) o Ultrasonic Testing (UT) o Radiographic Testing (RT) (where certified)
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure accurate documentation of inspection findings. Interpret and evaluate test results and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Comply with company HSE policies, client requirements and quality management systems.
• Liaise with clients, supervisors and project teams during site activities.
• Support shutdown, turnaround and maintenance projects at client sites.

Requirements

1. Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or related technical field.

2. Valid NDT certification (PCN, ASNT Level II/III, or equivalent).

3. Minimum 2 years' experience in NDT inspection within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant or Heavy Engineering industry.

4. Able to read engineering drawings, inspection procedures and technical specifications.

5. Familiar with relevant industry codes and standards.

6. Possess a valid driving license.

7. Willing to travel and work at project sites, including shutdown and turnaround assignments.

8. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Valid OGSP, PETRONAS Safety Passport or equivalent.

2. Confined Space, Working at Height and other relevant safety certifications are an added advantage.
