Job summary

U Mobile is seeking an Assistant Manager, Retail Training to translate the retail learning strategy into effective programmes across UMEC stores nationwide.

You will lead content development, field coaching, onboarding, and leadership development, ensuring consistent sales performance, customer experience and compliance. The role collaborates with HR, Merchandising and external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of training, learning and development in retail.
• Experience delivering classroom training, workshops, or coaching retail teams.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging learning materials and digital content using PowerPoint and similar tools.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and competency development.
• Willing to travel nationwide and support training programs on weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive nationwide rollout and execution of retail training plans across UMEC nationwide.
• Design, develop and facilitate training programmes on product knowledge, campaigns, systems, processes, customer service and compliance.
• Lead assigned training projects from planning to evaluation and post-implementation.
• Conduct classroom, virtual and on-site training sessions for frontline staff and managers.
• Develop onboarding programmes, role-based learning pathways and refresher training initiatives.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and business performance data; implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Retail Operations, GTM, Merchandising, HR and external training partners.
