Our client is seeking a Senior Infra & Networks Specialist (Network Operations) responsible for the hands-on daily operation, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of their IT network and infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Senior Manager - Infrastructure & Helpdesk Services, this operations-focused role centers on keeping the campus enterprise and AV networks running reliably and securely day-to-day.

Key responsibilities

• Operating, monitoring, and configuring the enterprise network across academic and residential campuses, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, DHCP, and DNS services.
• Configuring and troubleshooting multi-vendor equipment such as Cisco, HP/Aruba, and Extreme Networks.
• Managing network-related helpdesk operations, ticket handling, and access point installations.
• Administering on-premises Windows Server infrastructure (Active Directory, Hyper-V, Group Policy) and day-to-day Microsoft 365/Entra ID tasks.
• Managing enterprise firewalls, network security configurations (IPS/IDS, NAC/RADIUS), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
• Providing basic support and coordination for AWS cloud infrastructure.

The requirements

• Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• 3-5 years of direct hands-on experience in enterprise network operations, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Additional certifications in networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365/Windows Server, or ITIL (e.g., Aruba/HPE, Extreme, Fortinet, Sangfor, Microsoft) are an added advantage.

The skills needed to succeed

• Proven hands-on experience configuring multi-vendor networking products (Cisco, HP/Aruba, Extreme Networks) and managing enterprise firewalls and VPNs.
• Hands-on experience administering PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, SecureKi) and on-premises Windows Server environments.
• Working knowledge of M365 and Entra ID administration, alongside basic knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Route 53, IAM).
• Proficiency in PC/Mac endpoint troubleshooting across mixed Windows, macOS, and mobile device environments.
• Strong practical troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently to prioritize daily tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Prior experience supporting network infrastructure in an education or campus environment is preferred.
