Job summary

FrieslandCampina is seeking an experienced Multi-Cloud Solutions Specialist in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will engineer, automate and operate platforms supporting global workloads across AWS, Azure and a Nutanix-based Edge platform.

You will collaborate with cloud architects, security, DevOps, and application teams to deliver secure, reliable cloud foundations and cost-efficient operations. The role emphasizes automation, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications incl AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps/DevOps, HashiCorp Terraform Associate.
• Nutanix certification preferred; Nutanix experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of public cloud and hybrid infrastructure with hands-on depth in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in Terraform and/or native IaC tools such as Bicep and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of Multi-Cloud & Edge workloads, including onboarding, migration, modernization, OS upgrades, and decommissioning legacy infra.
• Improve AWS and Azure landing zones: account structures, policy-as-code, identity, least-privilege access, networking, security and governance guardrails.
• Design/maintain reusable IaC modules using Terraform, with Bicep and CloudFormation where appropriate; apply testing and secure state practices.
• Automate environment provisioning and workload onboarding via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions with templates and secure scanning.
• Establish repeatable lifecycle, connectivity, security, monitoring and recovery patterns for Nutanix-based Cloud Edge Platform.
• Develop/maintain monitoring, runbooks, and recovery procedures to improve platform reliability and supportability.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Multi-Cloud Solutions Specialist to join our Cloud & Hosting Services team.

In this role, you will build/drive, harden, automate, and operate enterprise cloud platform services, across AWS, Azure and Nutanix-based Cloud Edge Computing. You will help provide secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud foundations that enable application teams to deliver workloads effectively.

You will work closely with cloud architects, security teams, DevOps engineers, application teams, operations teams, and external service providers. The role will also support priority platform deliverables and cloud service transition activities involving third-party partners.

As Multi-Cloud Solutions Specialist, you will engineer, automate and operate the platforms that support FrieslandCampina's global workloads. Our environment spans AWS, Microsoft Azure and a home-grown Nutanix-based Cloud Edge Computing platform for on-premises workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of Multi-Cloud & Edge hosted workloads, including onboarding, migration, modernization, operating system upgrades, platform refresh activities, EOL remediation and decommissioning of legacy infrastructure..
• Improve AWS and Azure landing zones, including account and subscription structures, policy-as-code, identity, least-privilege access, networking, security and governance guardrails.
• Design and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform, with Bicep and CloudFormation where appropriate. Apply testing, versioning and secure state practices.
• Automate environment provisioning and workload onboarding through Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, using reusable templates, approvals and security scanning.
• Establish repeatable lifecycle, connectivity, security, monitoring and recovery patterns for the Nutanix-based Cloud Edge Computing platform.
• Develop and maintain operational monitoring, alerting, runbooks and recovery procedures to improve platform reliability, operational readiness and service supportability along with enabling Application teams with Observability baselines etc across the cloud estate & edge hosting.
• Embed zero-trust and security-by-design practices, including privileged access, workload identities, secrets, posture management and image scanning.
• Enable and support FinOps capabilities across AWS and Azure by implementing cost visibility, governance controls, tagging standards, budget tracking, automated cost alerts, rightsizing recommendations, and cloud resource optimization while maintaining platform reliability and performance.
• Support incidents, problems, changes, migrations and service transitions. Validate supplier deliverables and provide documentation and knowledge transfer so agreed plans and designs are delivered on-time-in-full.
• Execute infrastructure and platform changes using Infrastructure as Code practices, ensuring all changes are version controlled, peer reviewed, tested and auditable.
• Collaborate with Cloud & Hosting Services, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, DevOps, application teams, IT operations, FinOps, site teams and managed service providers.
• Plan, execute and document BC/DR - disaster recovery exercises, failover testing and recovery validation activities to ensure business continuity and recovery objectives are achieved.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred certifications incl ude AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps / DevOps Administrator, Ha shiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
• Relevant professional certifications are preferred but not mandatory, including Nutanix Certified Professional or another relevant Nutanix certification
• Strong knowledge of public cloud and hybrid infrastructure, with hands-on depth in AWS or Microsoft Azure and the ability to work across both platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Nutanix, hybrid cloud or edge computing is preferred.
• Proficiency in Terraform and/or native Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, including CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, approvals, artifacts and security controls.
• Knowledge of cloud identity, networking, private connectivity, storage, secrets management, backup, disaster recovery, containers and observability.
• Knowledge of workload migration, platform modernization, operating system lifecycle management, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity practices in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience in cloud financial management, including cost monitoring, forecasting, budgeting, tagging governance, utilization optimization, and cost-efficiency initiatives across AWS and/or Azure platforms.
• Automation and scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python.

Experience Requirements

• 5-8 five years of experience in cloud platform, infrastructure, DevOps or site reliability engineering.
• 3-5 years of hands-on public-cloud engineering using IaC and CI/CD.
• Experience managing production cloud platforms through Infrastructure as Code, including provisioning, upgrades, remediation, migrations, disaster recovery testing and operational support activities.
• Proven delivery of secure landing zones, automated provisioning and reusable platform patterns in an enterprise environment.
• Experience supporting workload onboarding, cloud migration, operating system upgrade and platform modernization initiatives within enterprise environments.
• Experience working within change, incident and problem-management processes.
• Experience with Nutanix, Kubernetes, managed-service transitions, FinOps or SRE practices is advantageous.
