Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an MS365 & Active Directory Engineer to support and manage Microsoft cloud, identity, security and directory services in Malaysia. The role requires hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Defender, DLP, and PowerShell automation.

Key duties include deploying and administering Microsoft 365 services, managing licensing, configuring security policies, and supporting hybrid identity environments.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration within an enterprise.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory security, compliance and governance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, configure and administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and identity lifecycle policies.

MS365 & Active Directory EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced MS365 & Active Directory Engineer to support and manage enterprise Microsoft cloud, identity, security and directory services in Malaysia.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Defender, DLP and PowerShell automation.

Key ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365

• Plan, deploy, configure and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 platform issues and ensure optimal performance and service availability.
• Manage Microsoft 365 licensing and feature updates.

Identity & Access Management

• Manage Microsoft Entra ID and identity and access management.
• Configure and maintain Conditional Access, MFA and identity lifecycle policies.
• Support hybrid identity, federation and SSO environments.
• Design and maintain device compliance and configuration policies.
• Manage Wi‑Fi, VPN, certificates and application configuration profiles.
• Manage application deployment, updates and removal across managed and BYOD devices.
• Implement App Protection Policies and security baselines.
• Monitor device health and compliance and perform remediation activities.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Configure antivirus, firewall, exploit protection and EDR policies.
• Support threat detection, investigation and remediation.
• Maintain security controls, role‑based access and audit requirements.
• Develop and administer DLP policies across Microsoft 365 and endpoints.
• Monitor DLP alerts and incidents and perform investigations.
• Support compliance reporting and data protection initiatives.

Active Directory

• Administer on‑premises and hybrid Active Directory environments.
• Manage domains, Group Policy and directory services.
• Support integration between Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.

Automation & Operations

• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts for administration, reporting and remediation.
• Monitor system availability, performance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, patching and system maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs and operational procedures.
• Provide technical training and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of relevant IT experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Active Directory security, compliance and governance.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, networking, Group Policy and cloud identity federation.
• Experience with backup, recovery and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with ITSM and enterprise incident management processes.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
