Job summary

JD Industrial, part of the JD Group, seeks a seasoned professional to lead local MRO category operations in Malaysia. You will drive on-site engagement with customers, manage product selection and portfolio planning, and collaborate across procurement, sales and logistics to ensure reliable delivery and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Marketing or related fields is preferred.
• 5-10 years MRO industry experience, familiarity with general industrial supplies, hand & power tools, PPE, industrial chemicals; sales and procurement background is preferred.
• Fluent in business English and Chinese, capable of independent on-site communication and bilingual report writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent on-site visits to customer factories to understand and sort out MRO procurement demands.
• Take over opportunities from sales, perform product selection, category layout and medium-long term planning for Malaysia.
• Research local MRO market demand, assess competitors and pricing to optimize product portfolio and lift sales and gross profit.
• Collaborate with procurement and supplier teams to optimize product supply, lifecycle, SKU mix and retire low-performing items.
• Track category operation data (sales, inventory, GM) and output regular optimization reports.
• Coordinate with local sales, warehouse and logistics to align supply with demand for stable delivery and after-sales matching.
• Assist regional lead to roll out localized category strategies and expand quality resources for Malaysian manufacturing clients.
