Job summary

Asahi Best Base Sdn Bhd seeks a Mold Process Technician to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair molding equipment for optimal machine performance and product quality. The role includes preventive maintenance, mold cleaning, insert changes, and basic servicing to minimize downtime.

You will set up and dismantle molds with cranes, support production during changes, document activities, and follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve

Job description

The Mold Process Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of molding equipment to ensure optimal machine performance, product quality, and production efficiency. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and supporting engineering and production teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Key responsibilities

Set up, install and dismantle injection molds on pressing machines using overhead cranes and hoisting equipment according to production schedules.

Perform preventive maintenance, conduct routine mold cleaning, lubrication, insert changes and basic machine servicing.

Execute repairs or adjustments to ensure proper mold performance

Support production teams during mold changeovers

Troubleshoot mold-related issues and minimize downtime

Document maintenance activities

Follow safety complaint's including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Work with engineering or quality teams to improve mold reliability and product quality

Experience in electronics, PCBA, SMT, or other manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
