Job summary

ASE Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a skilled technician to support production by sustaining equipment uptime, performing hands-on troubleshooting, and carrying out routine shift maintenance to hit output, cycle time, and quality targets.

You will carry out daily shift routines, address line issues, read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, support PMs, contribute to productivity projects, maintain 5S in the mold area, and report status to the crew leader.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge in molding processes (Hydraulic and servo systems).
• Able to read schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Support daily shift routines as implemented by the mold team.
• Address line issues including equipment or tooling; optimize troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Prioritize standby support as directed by crew leader/superior.
• Support PM on tooling and equipment conversion and buy-off.
• Handle semi-major machine breakdowns; read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Contribute ideas for improvement and participate in productivity/equipment projects.
• Maintain 5S in the mold area; sustain housekeeping standards.

Job description

Support production in sustaining the equipment up-time, carry out hands‑on trouble‑shooting and perform corrective action and routine shift maintenance to achieve production output, cycle time and quality targets

Primary Responsibilities:

Carry‑out daily shiftly routines job as implemented by mold team.

Responsible for any line issue either equipment or tooling and optimizing trouble‑shooting for reducing downtime and waiting time manner

Prioritize standby support on areas designated by crew leader/superior.

Support PM on tooling and equipment conversion and buy‑off.

Ability to handle semi‑major machine breakdown, trouble‑shooting and able to read machine electrical and pneumatic diagram.

Contribute idea of improvement, participate on productivity and equipment improvement project.

Sustain the machine housekeeping meeting the 5’s requirement.

To report from time to time to highlight to crew leader regarding the line and equipment status

Maintain consistent standard of conduct and discipline in operation.

Any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

Able to use Microsoft office (knowledge in word, excel and power point)

Willing to work in various type of task (tooling and system)

Responsible for mold area ESD item. (maintain ionizer, trolley & rack table and esd grounding)

Qualification & Experience:

Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.

Basic knowledge in Molding process (Hydraulic and servo system,)
