Job summary

Pentamaster Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our process engineering team. The role entails setup, operation and maintenance of moulding equipment to ensure product quality and production targets are met.

You will work with injection moulding processes, perform quality checks, and document findings while adhering to safety and QMS standards. Shift flexibility and a technical background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Technician III or Assistant Engineer level.
• Experience with moulding equipment or similar machinery.
• Understanding of injection moulding processes and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate moulding machines according to specs.
• Monitor processes to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections on moulded products and document findings.
• Adjust temperature, pressure, and cycle time for optimisation.
• Collaborate with production team to meet daily targets.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment per HSE rules.
• Report malfunctions and assist maintenance with solutions.
• Prepare QMS documentation for Moulding Production.
• Perform machine and mould validation (SAT, FAT, OQ, PQ).

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician (Moulding) to join Pentamaster Corporation Berhad in Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our process engineering operations. As a Moulding Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of moulding equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality. This role is essential to our manufacturing operations and directly contributes to meeting our production targets and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry.

Key responsibilities

Set up and operate moulding machines in accordance with production specifications and technical drawings

Monitor moulding processes to ensure products meet quality standards and dimensional requirements

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on moulding equipment to minimise downtime

Conduct quality inspections on moulded products and document findings

Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time to optimise production

Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

Report equipment malfunctions and assist in identifying solutions with maintenance personnel

Prepare QMS documentation for Moulding Production

Responsible to perform machine and mould validation (SAT, FAT, OQ and PQ)

What we're looking for

Technician III or Assistant Engineer level.

Proven experience working with moulding equipment or similar manufacturing machinery

Sound understanding of injection moulding processes and quality control procedures

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Familiarity with production planning and scheduling systems

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

Flexibility to work shifts as required by operational needs

A valid driving license is preferred

Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in manufacturing or process engineering are advantageous
