Job summary

Marrybrown Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced MIS Manager to lead our MIS infrastructure and operations from Johor Bahru. This full-time role requires strong leadership, strategic IT governance, and hands-on expertise with POS and back-office systems across a retail and F&B environment.

You will guide a skilled MIS team, drive digital transformation, and partner with multiple departments to align technology with business goals while ensuring security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial IT/MIS role.
• Minimum 5 years working experience with Point of Sales and Back-Office systems in Retail/F&B.
• Proven experience managing IT teams and leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience with system performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and cloud technologies (e.g., Office 365, Lark).
• Excellent leadership with ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MIS infrastructure, operations, and performance.
• Develop MIS strategies aligned with business objectives and IT governance.
• Lead and develop the MIS team, including recruitment and performance management.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct audits and vulnerability assessments to enhance systems.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Provide strategic technology guidance to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver tailored IT solutions.
• Document MIS policies and procedures; manage incident response and disaster recovery.
