Job summary

PBA Leader Motion Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Milling Machinist to interpret blueprints and operate manual milling machines to produce precision parts. You will read technical drawings and set up equipment to meet exact specifications.

The role requires basic technical knowledge, at least SPM or a certificate, and 1 year of relevant experience. You should be detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and keep a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines to produce precision parts.

• Maintain safe machine operation.
• Document deviations and report to supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Milling Machinist is responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, operating manual milling machines, and machining raw materials to required specifications.

Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual milling machines to produce precision parts.

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.

Maintain proper and safe machine operation.

Document and report deviations from standard specifications and tolerances.

Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.

Maintain and practice good housekeeping and to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

People Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a SPM or Certificate in any field.

Min 1 year of working experience in the related field, combined with basic technical knowledge, are encouraged to apply for this position.

Proficiency with manual mill machining equipment and tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English, and ability to use Mandarin is an advantage for workplace communication.

Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Detail-oriented, positive attitude, team player and able to follow instructions.
