Job summary

Asia Recruit is seeking a skilled Machinist in Johor to operate manual lathe and milling machines, read engineering drawings, and perform precision measurements. You will work under supervision, ensure parts meet specifications, and participate in safety training.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required. SP M level, valid Class-D driving license is preferred, and you must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• SPM with Diploma/Adv. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Proficient in reading drawings and using precision measuring tools.
• Must have safe working habits and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathe or milling machines to produce parts.
• Perform quality inspections and ensure parts meet specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Attend safety courses and follow supervisor instructions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Extensive hands-on experience in manual Lathe machine or Milling machine.
• Extensive hands-on experience in using micrometer such as OD micrometer, ID micrometer, Vernier Caliper, etc.
• Understand and able to read engineering drawings.
• Able to work independently to perform machining process as per given instructions by supervisor or as per sketch drawings.
• Perform quality inspection on machined parts before handing over to customers or supervisor.
• Attend all skill enhancement and safety courses assigned by supervisor.
• Any other work assigned by supervisor.
