Job summary

Noventiq Malaysia is seeking a Microsoft Security Engineer to deliver and implement Microsoft security solutions for external customers, focusing on Defender, DLP, and Purview. This hands-on role involves deployment, migration, and PoC tasks within the Services Delivery Team.

You will work closely with customers and senior engineers to gather requirements and deliver secure configurations, migrations, and documentation. Strong communication and customer-facing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft security solutions (2+ years).
• Experience deploying Defender for Endpoint/Office 365/Identity/Cloud Apps.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and information protection/sensitivity labels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and customers to gather security and compliance requirements and implement designs.
• Deploy and configure Defender solutions (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps).
• Implement DLP and information protection with Purview and retention policies.
• Configure Entra ID with Conditional Access and MFA.
• Deploy Microsoft Sentinel where required and migrate other security solutions into Defender and Purview.
• Produce security configuration documentation and admin guides.

Microsoft Security Engineer

Job Overview

We’re looking for a MicrosoftSecurity Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’ll be part ofour Services Delivery Team, responsible for delivering and implementingMicrosoft security solutions for external customers, with a focus on MicrosoftDefender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Microsoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinelis optional). This is a delivery and implementation role focused on hands-ondeployment and migration.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with senior engineers, Project Managers,and customers to gather security and compliance requirements and implementdesigns.
• Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender solutions —Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, andDefender for Cloud Apps.
• Implement data protection and compliance with MicrosoftPurview — Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection / sensitivitylabels, and retention.
• Configure identity and access security with MicrosoftEntra ID — Conditional Access and MFA.
• Deploy Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) where required(optional focus).
• Deliver migrations from other/third-party securitysolutions to Microsoft — e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint DLP,and third-party SIEMs — into Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
• Deliver Proof-of-Concept (POC) tasks to demonstratesolution value.
• Produce security configuration documentation and adminguides.

About You

• Proven hands-on implementation and deploymentexperience with Microsoft security solutions (2+ years).
• Implementation-focused — Hands-on experiencedeploying and implementing Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity,Cloud Apps).
• Experience implementing Microsoft Purview — DLP,Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and compliance.
• Working knowledge of identity and access managementwith Entra ID and Conditional Access.
• Experience delivering migrations from other securitysolutions to Microsoft (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee, Forcepoint,third-party SIEMs).
• Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloudsecurity concepts.
• Basic PowerShell scripting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, ComputerScience, Information Security, or a related field.
• English — able to read technical documentation and tospeak and present confidently to customers (verbal communication is required).
