Job summary

Noventiq Malaysia is seeking a Senior Microsoft Security Engineer to join the Services Delivery team. You will lead security solution design, drive migrations, and mentor engineers while implementing Defender, Purview, and Entra ID-based controls.

Responsibilities include architecture, deployment of Defender suites, DLP, SIEM, and engagement in tenders and POC engagements to demonstrate value to customers in a dynamic Malaysia market.

Qualifications

• Hands-on deployment of Microsoft Defender in production environments.
• Experience with DLP, sensitivity labels and retention in Purview.
• Migration of security solutions to Defender/Microsoft Purview.
• Strong IAM knowledge, Conditional Access and MFA.
• Experience presenting to customers and leading POC engagements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and PMs to translate requirements into secure designs.
• Architect, design, and deploy Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
• Implement DLP, information protection, and retention in Purview.
• Configure Entra ID Conditional Access and MFA controls.
• Lead migrations from third-party security tools to Microsoft Defender and Purview.
• Deliver POC engagements to demonstrate security value.
• Produce architecture docs, high/low level design guides.
• Provide mentorship to security engineers.
• Participate in tenders and bids for technical solutions.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a SeniorMicrosoft Security Engineer to bring your talent to Noventiq Malaysia. You’llbe part of our Services Delivery Team, responsible for architecting, designing, delivering, and implementing Microsoft security solutions for externalcustomers, with a focus on Microsoft Defender, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), andMicrosoft Purview (Microsoft Sentinel is optional). This is a senior deliveryand implementation role — you will lead security solution design, drivemigrations, and mentor engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Solution Sales, Project Managers, andcustomers to understand business and compliance requirements and translate theminto secure technical designs.
• Architect, design, and deploy Microsoft Defendersolutions — Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender forIdentity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.
• Design and implement data protection and compliancewith Microsoft Purview — Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection /sensitivity labels, Insider Risk, and retention.
• Implement identity and access security with MicrosoftEntra ID — Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection.
• Design and deploy Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) whererequired (optional focus).
• Lead and deliver migrations from other/third-partysecurity solutions to Microsoft — e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee,Forcepoint DLP, and third-party SIEMs — into Microsoft Defender and MicrosoftPurview.
• Participate in tenders and bids to provide technicalsecurity solutions, effort estimation, and scoping.
• Deliver Proof-of-Concept (POC) engagements todemonstrate the value of the security products and services.
• Produce security architecture documentation, HLD/LLD,and configuration/admin guides.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to securityengineers.

About You

• Proven hands-on implementation and deploymentexperience delivering Microsoft security solutions in production (5+ years).
• Implementation-focused — Deep hands-onexperience deploying and implementing Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365,Identity, Cloud Apps).
• Strong experience implementing Microsoft Purview — DLP,Information Protection / sensitivity labels, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management withEntra ID and Conditional Access.
• Proven experience delivering migrations from othersecurity solutions to Microsoft (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro, McAfee,Forcepoint, third-party SIEMs).
• Good understanding of XDR, SIEM, IAM, and cloudsecurity concepts.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and bulkoperations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in InformationTechnology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• English — able to read technical documentation and tospeak and present confidently to customers (verbal communication is required).
